Essackjee, Ismaël Adam
Biography
Dr. Essackjee holds an MBA from the Management College of Southern Africa and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (USA). He has had two decades of work experience at the sole power utility in Mauritius, half of which has been at the management level. In 2021, he was awarded a PhD in Renewable Energy Integration by the University of Mauritius. He is a member of IEEE, IET, IEM and CIArb and has been recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute of the UK. He is a Maxwell Certified Leadership Development Coach, Speaker and Trainer and was recognized with Asia’s Best Coaching & Development Leadership Award in 2020/21. He has published 18 journal and conference papers and since 2022 oversees transmission infrastructure at the Central Electricity Board of Mauritius, which includes construction and maintenance of substations and transmission networks across the island.
