Supporting Smart Grid Technology for a Sustainable Energy Transition (in English)

Dr. Céspedes has experience in strategic assessment of power system operations and technologies, regulations, procedures and tools that help utilities to develop, operate and maintain more reliable and efficient power systems. This includes analysis and operational issues, Smart Grid concepts and automation systems with SCADA/energy management systems such as communication systems and distribution management system functions, metering, IT system integration and power system planning. As Project Manager or Engineer, he has served as consultant and expert for various projects financed by the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank and is now Partner and CEO of a Colombian consulting firm that specializes in automation & control topics, strategic assessment of operational tools and related technological issues. He is Ass. Professor at the National University of Colombia for the graduate program for power systems as well as a Sr Member of IEEE and he has published numerous technical papers in these areas.
