Experience at Swedish DSOs with Composite Line Insulators: Examples of Faults & Impact on Purchasing Policy (in English)

Mr. Ahlrot received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He started at Sydkraft Konsult and then worked for different consulting companies before joining E.ON Energidistribution in 2007 as Specialist in high voltage systems. In 2015, he was appointed Senior Specialist, responsible for technical specifications for both high voltage substations and overhead lines within E.ON Sweden. Since 2023, he is also Manager of a Technical Specialist Department where he works on many issues relating to high voltage systems. His professional experience includes ex­tensive work in in such areas as overhead lines construction and planning, electrical power flow calculations, power quality, earthing and electrical and magnetic fields. He is closely involved in standardization work and member of National Committees for both overhead lines and insulators.
